New York-based singer-songwriter Evan Wright is at the top of his game in the niche world of psychedelic indie-country music. His latest single, ‘Turn The Other Way’ is able to blend the fuzzy warmth of his guitar and delightfully catchy lead vocal lines with juxtaposing electronic inflections that come straight from his drum machine. On the inspiration behind the track, he explains: “I remember going to see old friends and listening to the verse I had recorded on my phone. I think that after seeing my friends who I haven’t seen in so long and seeing us all at wildly different points in life, the chorus came pretty quickly.” His album Sound From Out The Window drops on August 25^th, 2021. -Dan Peeke
